Petria Wallace

Petria Wallace is a story consultant with a focus on applying screenwriting craft alongside immersive sound to develop successful, premium audio dramas for a global audience. 

As a fellow writer, Petria understands that creating fictional stories from the germ of an idea is brave, hard, vulnerable work. She starts sessions with creators by highlighting what’s working, what pops, explores their ideas and intentions, before giving feedback on what could work better and offering ideas to kickstart rewriting.

Petria holds the AFTRS industry certificate qualification in script assessment. She has studied screenwriting courses at AFTRS, and with leading US TV and feature writers at the Sundance Collab. In 2021 she was the story developer for writer Christine Williams on her Dame Changer TV Lab drama project, working with LA writer/producer Jordanna Fraiberg. 

Petria co-created a dark comedy selected for the Stowe 2022 Narrative Lab. Before this she had a 15-year career at the ABC where her first love was audio, producing flagship shows and documentaries for ABC Radio National. She also worked as a senior ABC TV producer and journalist. 

Petria is based between Sydney and her family home near the town Ozark made almost famous – Mullumbimby.
